Spring Growth

Hello all! Boy do the kiddos grow up fast! Amelia has her 2 month check-up this Friday! I can't believe that she's 8 weeks old, and I can't believe that she's stretching out of some of her 0-3 month clothes already! She's definitely eating well! She is smiley and happy (most of the time), and can you believe it, pretty much sleeping through the night! We are so lucky!

Birth announcements are nearly on the way. Isaac has been very helpful. This week he was helping me trim some of the pictures. For those of you that did not know, Jill is quite the card designer and maker, and has helped us with the announcements. Hopefully you will all like them. I'm still in the process of trying to get the wording parts printed out. Did you all know that you can't print light colored ink onto dark paper?? I know that now. I have to change the plans a little bit and need to go shopping for some different paper. Hopefully I will finish the announcements this week and have them out by the beginning of next week.

And what does Ruthie think of all of this?? She's such a champ, the poor thing! She loves her little boy and girl and doesn't get nearly the attention she deserves, but of course remains faithfully in love with us all. She's finally trusting herself to play with Isaac some now that he's getting bigger and rowdier. She's always near Amelia, concerned when she cries. She loves to keep the back yard free of squirrels, rabbits and birds. This is her keeping watch!

And Isaac! Isaac is turning 3 in less than a month! He's such a big boy now. He helps with his sister all the time. Tries to calm her when she cries (she loves to look at him and listen to him), covers her when she's cold (or not cold), and fetches diapers, pacifiers, blankets and burping cloths anytime they are out of reach. He's very proud to be her big brother. He's learning a lot at daycare (he'd better for how much we pay for him to be there!). We're on the verge of being potty-trained. In fact, we're going to try some Diego underwear next weekend. We've told him that when he goes a whole day keeping his pull-up dry, he'll get a big present. He's looking forward to that, and trying hard. He also knows his right from left. Something that we didn't know about until last weekend when he said he wanted to put my purse on my right arm and proceeded to do so! He can nearly sing the alphabet song and can tell you what an octagon is and why they are called octagons (thanks Grammy!). He points them out everytime he sees a stop sign.

And Mom and Dad...We're doing well, both back at work and working hard. I (Alison) have to have my gall bladder removed. The joys of pregnancy. Isaac's pregnancy gave me allergies, and Amelia's gave me gall stones. I see a surgeon next week to find out how long I can put the surgery off. Brian's selling cars like crazy and was recently promoted to Senior Account Executive. He's completely healthy (I'm jealous.)

Spring is beautiful. The lilac has never smelled sweeter, and the blooms have never looked so full! We'll give you an update later this week and show you another peek of our Cincinnati Spring!

GREAT POST!!!!
I am so jealous of your spring! I think we are at least a week if not more behind you all. It SNOWED today, yes thats right, big white flakes. Of course it did not stick, but for a few minutes it looked like Christmas!

I can not believe you are already back to work, time flies.
