Brian is crazy!

So, we took the kids to the Cincinnati Museum Center today to look at the dinosaur exhibit. The kids had a blast, although Isaac got a little scared with the dinosaur exhibit. They have life size animatronic dinosaurs. We will post some pictures of that. In the main lobby (which is a HUGE rotunda) they had a caving company there. They had a rope tied to the roof and they had rope climbing apparatus. Daddy had to show Isaac how cool he was. SSOOOOOOO......

Yeah right.............. ok Looking at the picture on the computer, I realized that it looks like me. Soo I made a funny :) This was quite amazing. Isaac thought it was the coolest thing. It looked really easy. I was just curious how they got the rope up there to begin with. No free climbing here, well unless you were REALLY good or REALLY creative!

Our Walk

Circus pictures to come later...

Icky Sick!

Well, at least everyone was healthy for Amelia's birthday! On Thursday I picked up the kids early from school due to Amelia's teacher calling saying that she had a temperature of 101.5 and was acting like she felt miserable. She really was miserable. I gave her some Tylenol when we got home along with a bottle and she practically went straight to bed. On Friday morning I went in to work early (5am), and Brian stayed with Amelia. Her fever had gone up to 103, so Brian took her to the doctor. Ear infection plus a cold virus. He put her straight on Augmentin, which means diarrhea. At about noon I traded with Brian. Amelia continued to look and feel miserable until about 4:30. Shortly after that, we picked up Isaac. Later at about 6:30, Isaac was just kind of laying around and said he didn't feel well. I felt his face, and he was ON FIRE! He had a fever of about 102.5. We didn't have any children's Tylenol, so Brian picked some up on his way home. I figured Brian and I would be next!

FORTUNATELY, both kids fevers are gone, Amelia's cold is nearly gone, Isaac is still coughing and sneezing and sniffling, but feeling himself. So we were able to attend the circus! Isaac has been wanting to go for a while- we have to watch Dumbo at least once a day, and regularly wants to sing "Baby 'O Mine" to Amelia.

Isaac loved the circus and his favorite part (no surprise) was the Elephant part. The only parts Amelia really paid attention to were the trapeze artists. Other than that she wanted off of my lap to walk around or steal other kid's toys (she tried- the kids behind us had a light-up plastic sword, she got her hands on it and practically had it in my lap before I noticed!

After the circus, traffic was horrible and it was obvious that we would be sitting in the exhaust-filled parking garage for a long time, so we got the stroller out of the car and took a nice walk along the river.

Brian is going to post some pictures.

He Markered Up his face!

And I don't think it was washable! Keep in mind...these pictures were taken after his teachers at school attempted to was his face, and after we had tried once!

Chanukkah

Chanukkah was celebrated early this year with the Phillips' since Lisa was in from Florida.

Amelia trying to figure out Uncle Alan's beard.

Isaac showing off his big truck that he got from Aunt Marlene. The kids got some really nice gifts (so did we). Thanks everyone!

The Museum Center

Aunt Lisa was in from Florida for almost 2 weeks, and as a Hanukkah gift, took Isaac (and Brian and I) to see an Omnimax film.

The omnimax theater is located within the museum center. This picture was inside, in front of their Christmas tree.

After the film, we went down to see a model train display and some other parts of the museum, and guess who we bumped into? That's right! Santa! Isaac walked right up and told Santa, "I've been a good boy!" He also told Santa that he wants trains and cars for Christmas.

Not to Overwhelm anyone...

...but I still have some catching up that I need to do.

Isaac really enjoyed watching the snow fall on our back deck.

Amelia is into absolutely EVERYTHING!

This is her favorite mess to make- pulling all of the DVD's off of the shelf!

Daddy giving Isaac a haircut. Believe it or not, he was not upset! He got some hair in his mouth!

Catching Up...

Thanksgiving Day around the farm.

All bundled up...it was pretty chilly!

About to get into mischief in that big sawdust pile- Uncle Johnny taught him how to run to the top this past summer.

Isaac was just making sure the heifer could reach the hay.

A view of the "shooting range".

Somehow we didn't get any pictures of anyone inside, including Amelia! And she was wearing the cutest sweater dress from Old Navy...What a lovely, family-filled day! If I could manage not to gain back any weight, I wish EVERY DAY could be Thanksgiving Day. It is, by far my FAVORITE AND MY BEST (a little bit of Charlie and Lola for any who may be familiar).

Just a few pictures of us enjoying an evening...

Playing some music...

Daddy twisting his tongue to read Fox in Socks.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she doesn't really look like Mommy.

Catching Up...

We had a nice weekend for Michael, John and Jill's Birthday...

But look at John's facial hair...

And Michael's...

They say they think it makes them look older. I suppose it does, but I've never really been a huge fan of facial hair...

Yes. this is my baby CLIMBING THE STAIRS! Where did the time go?

Great-Grandma Opal enjoying some time with Amelia. She and Isaac had a good time playing, too.
Great-Grandpa even wanted in on some of the ball-bouncing action! I wish I got a picture of that, too.
